NTI Port Tours Deliver Hands-On Experience
Our port tours are a hands-on experience to learn more about the ecosystem of connection industries that keep ports moving across Australia.
NTI are part of the industries that we support and undertake initiatives to strengthen that industry. By facilitating engagement across safety, experience and in-person events, we’re able to strengthen the transport and logistics industry.
NTI fosters relationships between the transport and logistics industry and the brokers and service providers they work so closely with. Ensuring these connections are strengthened plays a key role in keeping Australia moving.
We host NTI Accident Assist showcases across Australia for our broker partners and NTI claims team to develop a deeper understanding of how a heavy vehicle is repaired. Attendees are able to see what actually happens when a truck rolls over with a live demonstration, and participate in guided tours and educational activities. This helps to give our broker partners and our claims team a better understanding of what needs to be done when an incident happens.
At NTI our purpose is to make Australian roads safer for all road users, that's why we're involved in a number of initiatives to promote safety within our industries.
After establishing the National Truck Accident Research Centre and committing one hundred per cent of funding two decades ago, NTI has lived its purpose with tangible efforts to make Australian roads safer. The NTARC Report foxes on major causes and trends of serious heavy vehicle accidents, and the outcomes are deidentified and shared freely to drive safety improvements.
Most recently NTI has made use of the Federal Government Heavy Vehicle Safety Initiative grant to develop "Spilt Milk". The program worked with drivers, fleet managers and consignors in the dairy supply chian to design and deliver a program with the goal of reducing dairy tanker crashes.
