Your Duty to take reasonable care to not make a misrepresentation
If you purchase insurance with us, the information you provide (including the answers to any questions we have asked you) will form part of your application for insurance and policy cover.
Before commencing it is very important that NTI Limited (NTI) have explained your obligations.
What you must tell us
You must take reasonable care not to make a misrepresentation to us before your enter into a contract of insurance with us. This responsibility applies when you are applying for insurance and when we issue you with a policy.
A misrepresentation is a false answer, an answer that is only partially true, or an answer which does not fairly reflect the truth. You must answer our questions honestly, accurately and to the best of your knowledge.

Who does this obligation apply to?
This responsibility applies to everyone who will be insured under the policy. If you are answering questions on behalf of anyone, we will treat your answers or representations as theirs.
What happens if you fail in your duty?
If you do not meet the above duty, we may reject or not fully pay your claim and/or cancel your policy. If the misrepresentation was deliberate, reckless or fraudulent, we may treat your policy as if it never existed.
If, at any time during the policy you think you may not have met your duty, please tell us immediately and we’ll let you know whether it has any impact on the cover.
