That's why NTI has developed NTI Accident Assist - a free service available to all NTI policyholders 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If your truck or mobile plant and equipment is involved in an accident, you can call NTI Accident Assist on 1800 684 669 (1800 NTI NOW) at any hour, day or night, and we can:

1. Ensure you receive medical assistance as needed at the time of the accident; 
2. Arrange over-the-phone trauma counselling at the accident scene until help arrives;
3. Authorise an NTI Heavy Vehicle Recovery Operator to recover your vehicle, trailer or MPE using the latest skills and equipment to prevent further damage;
4. Oversee the load recovery and ensure your load recovery cost is fair;
5. Arrange clean-up of the accident scene;
6. Relay urgent messages to your employer, suppliers or loved ones;
7. Arrange for the driver or operator to be transported back to base or temporary accommodation (policy limits apply);
8. Arrange post-incident counselling for you, the driver or immediate family members; 
9. Lodge the claim automatically (in most instances you won't even need to fill in a claim form).
