NTI urges bushfire preparations and review of emergency plans
Western Australian Authorities have issued bushfire warnings across Perth, with a particular focus on Mundaring, Chittering, Northam and City of Swan, following the devastation that has torn through the town of Wooloroo.
NTI is urging businesses to protect their people, premises and assets by enacting emergency plans and confirming the whereabouts and contact details of family and friends.
NTI’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Tony Clark says NTI’s Claims Team are ready to support customers 24/7 through the event, and are experienced in dealing with Australia’s extreme conditions.
“We know the impact of bushfires all too well in this country – loss of vehicles, machinery, infrastructure, and damage to freight caused by delays, just to name a few.
“The quickest way for customers or intermediaries to make a claim is via NTI Accident Assist (1800 NTI NOW). This will allow the claim to be actioned as quickly as possible, without the need for paperwork. Trauma counselling is also be available to customers to help them through this tough time.”
Those on the roads are advised to keep a radio on for the latest warnings and encouraged to have a safe action plan if driving near high risk areas.
“We understand the importance of keeping Australia moving, but safety is paramount,” said Mr. Clark.
“Check that roads are open and safe, make plans for alternative routes and account for the possibility of travel delays.”
