National Transport Insurance and Australian Trucking Association partnership moves to new heights

National Transport Insurance, Australia’s specialist transport and logistics insurer, has been unanimously accepted by the Australian Trucking Association (ATA) Council as an associate member.

With over 45 years of experience in the insurance industry National Transport Insurance has been a long-standing supporter of Australia’s trucking industry, as the ATA represents 50,000 businesses and 200,000 people in the industry, this strengthened partnership is a move towards continuing to deliver positive impacts to the industry.

As an ATA associate member, National Transport Insurance can participate in the development of internal committees such as the Industry Technical Council, and the ATA General Council.

General Manager of Commercial at NTI Ltd, Michael Edmonds said that it is an honour for National Transport Insurance to be welcomed as an associate member of the ATA.

ATA Chair, Geoff Crouch said throughout the years, National Transport Insurance has been actively involved in ATA initiatives to improve industry safety, professionalism and viability.  

“One of the most exciting of these initiatives is our redesigned Safety Truck, to be launched later this year. This campaign will use state-of-the-art technology to educate young drivers and vulnerable road users about how they can share the road safely with trucks,” Mr Crouch said.
